You can try asking in tower for access, and while it's usually denied, a polite request has sometimes been granted to log airside and you'll need a hi-viz jacket. Once airside, ask at each hangar - they're friendly, just let them know you've been to the tower. Good views of the apron can be had from a footpath at the top of Napier Road, before the main entrance. Go through the gate and follow the track downhill to the apron.
